INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW, LAS VEGAS, January 5, 2006 -
Fine Digital USA is taking the in-car GPS navigation market by storm
with the official introduction of its line of affordable FineDrive products at
the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
The introduction of the FineDrive 400 and FineDrive 500 systems marks Fine Digital's
entrance into the U.S. market. The company is currently the leading GPS navigation
provider in Korea and in several other markets across Asia . Fine Digital focuses
on driving consumer adoption of GPS navigation devices by offering top-quality
products at a fraction of the cost of its closest competitors - without sacrificing
performance or functionality.
"Fine Digital is a strong player in the global GPS market, with a heavy emphasis
on research and development," said Dr. K.S. Lee, president of Fine Digital USA. "This
position and strong technology commitment has allowed us to create robust in-car
GPS navigation systems at an extremely affordable price point. With FineDrive,
users benefit from having an expert navigator by their side, ensuring that users
find their way every time, everywhere."
The FineDrive 400 and FineDrive 500 products are full-featured portable in-car

internal memory, as well as an expandable SD memory slot. An SD card is included
with detailed street-level mapping of the 48 contiguous United States and Canada
already installed. Mapping software is provided by NAVTEQ, the global leader,
and includes over 2 million points of interest (POIs). The device touts a bright
four-inch color TFT LCD touch-screen display and an incredibly easy user interface
for trouble-free navigational support. No downloads or system installation processes
are required.
The FineDrive 500 is a scaled model with a five-inch LCD screen. It features
a 64MB internal memory and the same expandable SD memory slot as the FineDrive
400. An SD card is included with detailed mapping of four U.S. states (based
on the user's geographic area). Full mapping for the 48 contiguous United States
is provided on an included CD.
Additional FineDrive features include:
Voice- and text-based turn-by-turn directions
Choice of 2-D or 3-D map views
An integrated MP3 player with FM transmitter
"The GPS navigation market is poised for rapid growth in the US in 2006, "said
Rob Enderle Principle Analyst for the Enderle Group. "The most successful
GPS products will be those with affordable prices, strong performance, and a
simple user interface".
At CES 2006 Fine Digital will be demonstrating the current FineDrive line of
portable in-car GPS navigation devices at booth #6156 located in the North Hall
of the Las Vegas Convention Center . The company will also be previewing several
