Fine Digital Introduces FineDrive 400 Automotive GPS Color Touch-Screen Portable Navigation Device (PND) Available Exclusively at Staples

SAN JOSE, Calif.-Nov. 22, 2005 FINE DIGITAL USA, a leading GPS navigation solution provider, announces the North American introduction and launch of the company's flagship product, the FineDrive 400, a portable in-car GPS navigation device that provides destination routing with 2D/3D map views of the 48 contiguous United States and Canada.

The FineDrive 400 features an SD memory card preloaded with detailed street level map data for 48 contiguous United States and Canada, provided by NAVTEQ ? , including millions of points of interest (POI's), such as gas stations, hotels and restaurants. Additionally, the device offers turn-by-turn voice and visual guidance and a built-in 128MB internal memory with expandable SD memory slot.

The FineDrive 400 is currently available for the holiday season exclusively at Staples retail stores throughout North America . About the FineDrive 400

The FineDrive 400 also includes a full-featured stereo MP3 player and incorporates a digital media card slot, enabling motorists to 'plug and play' their favorite audio files from a SD memory card. Although equipped with its own integrated speaker, the new FineDrive 400 features a built-in, full spectrum FM modulator for wirelessly streaming music.

Touting a bright, sunlight-viewable 4" diagonal, 16-bit color TFT touch-screen display with 320(H)x240(V) pixel resolution, the FineDrive 400 delivers full 12-channel GPS location precision. Simplified touch-screen menus put easy operation at the traveler's fingertips. Pre-loaded with NAVTEQ? turn-by-turn map data detail for the continental U.S. and Canada , there is no need to buy maps or pay fees or unlock codes. Also included are over 2 million points of interest to easily find and navigate to service stations, lodging, dining, entertainment, and many other services.

Nicely compact and totally portable for multi-vehicle use, including car rental, FineDrive 400 shows motorists the way to any destination across town, or across the country. Once the destination is selected, it automatically displays the best route in a colorful pathway, while providing turn-by-turn directions with visual and voice guidance. To suit personal preferences, the FineDrive 400 offers a choice in navigation views, from a "north up" or "track up" 2-D presentation, to an elevated 3-D display. In the case of a missed turn, or an unexpected highway detour, the FineDrive 400 automatically recalculates the route to quickly get the motorist back on track.

Offering added value for its $499 USA retail price, the FineDrive 400 comes complete with a full complement of accessories that include suction-cup mounting bracket, 12 vDC power, adapter, and stylus pen. The FineDrive 400 is the newest in the company's line of automotive navigation products, following last year's successful introduction of the FineDrive 300 .
